The benefice has long had links with St. Matthew’s primary school, Cyangugu, with several of the parishes sponsoring children at the school in the early days of our association.

Times have moved on, and the project has grown – St. Matthew’s is now a college!
Additionally, there is tourist accomodation, income from which supports the above projects.
